Zimbabwe’s President Mnangagwa pardons 3,000 prisoners to clear packed jails

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who succeeded ousted Robert Mugabe in November, has pardoned at least 3 000 prisoners to clear out overpopulated jails, officials said on Thursday.
