Police kill four suspected armed robbers in Akwa Ibom

The Police Command in Akwa Ibom said its officers had killed four of the five suspected armed robbers who robbed a fuel station in Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom on Aug. 21.

Police speak on ‘gunshots’ near country home of Sen. Akpabio

The Police have explained that the gunshots near the country home of Senator Godswill Akpabio, Ukana Ikot Ntuen village, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State were as a result of security operatives engaged hoodlums in a shooting bout.

Police: No attack on Senator Akpabio’s house

Akpabio’s media aide, Anietie Ekong, said earlier that some unknown gunmen stormed the senator’s home in Ukana Ikot Ntuen, Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom state, around 7.30 p.m on Tuesday, and were shooting sporadically in front of the gate before they were repelled by police officers and other security personnel attached to the senator.

Gunmen attack Senator Akpabio’s country home

Some gunmen reportedly stormed the country home of a senator, Godswill Akpabio, on Tuesday, around 7.30 p.m., in Akwa Ibom state, where he was holding political meeting.
