The five governors of the Southeast region, on Sunday, launched Ebubeagu regional security to fight terrorism in the zone. The governors in attendance were, Governor of Abia State, Okezuo Ikpeazu, Anambra, Willie Obiano, Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Ebonyi, Dave Umahi and the host governor, Hope Uzodinma.

South-East governor: Ebube Agu to work with police

Governors and leaders of the Southeast zone yesterday met in Enugu and resolved that the newly esterblished regional outfit of the zone named “EBUBEAGU” will work with the police and other security agencies in her operation to protect lives and properties in the zone.
“At this moment, l cannot say how many students were taken away by the gunmen until l get there, but we have already mobilized security men and members of the vigilantatè who are now in pursuit of the abductors,” the commissioner stated.
