Lagos State Government on Monday resumed the dislodgement of illegal abattoirs, slaughterhouses, animal markets and other veterinary premises.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya said the state would resume dislodgement of illegal abattoirs, slaughterhouses, animal markets and other veterinary premises, as from April 19.
The Lagos State Butchers Association has requested the provision of about 50, hectares of land from the Lagos State Government for ranching and rearing herds of cattle in the state.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya, told newsmen in Lagos on Thursday that the initiative would be rolled out before the end of February.
