Nigerian writer, Ayobami Adebayo, has emerged winner of 2018 edition of 9mobile Prize for Literature, the most prestigious literature prize for first time fiction writers of African origin. She received a prize of £15,000 and a Montblanc Meisterstück pen among others.

Nigerian Nneka Arimah wins £10,000 Caine Prize for African Writing

Nigerian-born Lesley Nneka Arimah has won the 20th edition of the Caine Prize for African Writing for her short story ‘Skinned’. She emerged from a shortlist of five writers, that also included another Nigerian, Tochukwu Emmanuel Okafor, who wrote ”All Our Lives”.
