An Akure Magistrate Court has sentenced a female serial fraudster, Owolabi Omolola, to two-year imprisonment for defrauding one Ayodele Ayeni to the tune of N460,000.

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has described as “fictitious and malicious” reports that he was bribed in respect of the appointment of a sole administrator for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The numbing figure was crossed just more than a year after the coronavirus was first detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The number of dead, compiled by Johns Hopkins University, is about equal to the population of Brussels, Mecca, Minsk or Vienna.

At a news briefing at his residence, Johnson said that effective Monday at 4 a.m. Britain time, all travelers into the country must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours and then self-quarantine for 10 days. They can take another test after five days and leave quarantine if that test is again negative.
