World Igbo Congress rejects Ebubeagu, urges support for ESN

The World Igbo Congress has rejected the security outfit codenamed Ebubeagu which was recently set up by governors of the South-East region.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says arms used by its Eastern Security Network (ESN) are produced locally.

Police blames IPOB for Owerri attacks

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni, has ordered the immediate deployment of additional units of Police Mobile Force (PMF) and other Police Tactical Squads to Imo State to strengthen security in the State and prevent further attacks on security formations or any other critical national infrastructure in the State.
