NPopC: 57% of Nigerian children under-5 years don’t have birth certificates

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) observed on Monday in Awka, Anambra State capital, that the birth of about 57 per cent of Nigerian children under five years of age was not registered and, therefore, do not have birth certificates.
The Director General of the Institute, Dr. Bakut T. Bakut, made the call on Monday 21st September, 2020 in Awka, Anambra State at the occasion to mark 2020 World Peace Day celebration.
