Zinedine Zidane has insisted there is no reason to worry about Eden Hazard as the Belgian continues to work on his fitness.
The Real Madrid star has four times since Real Madrid returned to action last month but is yet to complete 90 minutes. On top of that, he’s been left out of the squad to face Getafe on Thursday evening entirely.
However, Zidane has insisted the 29-year-old just need time and is not too bothered by rough treatment from opposing defenders.
“He’s very good and the opponents know it,” Zidane told reporters ahead of the game.
“But there’s no intention of hurting any player.”
Hazard has made just 14 LaLiga appearances in his debut season at the Bernabéu but Zidane is not concerned and doesn’t want to rush the ex-Chelsea man.
“We have to be calm with Eden,” the Frenchman said.
“He’s been off the pitch for a long time and you have to go easy on him.
“He’ll be fine in a little while.”
Hazard’s performances have improved of late but he has still managed just one goal and three assists in his 14 LaLiga outings so far this term.
