Senegal, Nigeria and Tunisia record away victories in Tuesday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification (CAF) matches.
Sadio Mane made it two goals in as many Group H matches when he sealed Senegal’s 3-1 win over Congo-Brazzaville at the Stade Alphonse Massamba-Débat in Brazzaville.
The win took Senegal’s Lions of Teranga to the top of the group standings – two points clear of second-placed Namibia with four matches left.
While Nigeria opened a three-point lead at the top of Group C after claiming a 2-1 victory over Cape Verde at the Estádio Municipal Adérito Sena in Mindelo.

At the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Tunisia also opened a three-point lead in Group B after defeating Zambia 2-0 with Wahbi Khazri and Anis Ben Slimane scoring.
Iban Salvador’s solitary goal fired Equatorial Guinea to third place on the Group B standings following their narrow 1-0 victory over Mauritania at Estadio de Malabo.
Meanwhile, Group A leaders, Algeria’s extended their unbeaten run to 29 matches when they drew 1-1 with Burkina Faso at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco.
A first-half goal by Richard Mbulu at the Orlando Stadium in South Africa inspired Malawi to a 1-0 win over their Southern African rivals Mozambique in a Group D game.
At the Al-Hilal Stadium in Omdurman, Piqueti scored twice in the first half to help Guinea-Bissau secure a 4-2 win over Sudan and the win took the African Wild Dogs to the top of Group I table.
While Tanzania also climbed to the top of Group J after edging out Madagascar 3-2 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam where Feisal Salum grabbed the winning goal.
Angola recorded their maiden win in Group F when they overcame Libya 1-0 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda with Omar Al Khoja scoring the only goal of the match.
Lastly, Aschalew Tamene scored in stoppage time to hand Ethiopia a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe in a Group G encounter at the Bahir Dar Stadium in Bahir Dar.
