Wayne Rooney another big name to manage Newcastle

Wayne Rooney had managed to beat the drop only a few months into his managerial career and could look ahead to a first full season in charge, potentially backed by new owners.

The Manchester United former player, now Derby County’s manager, could be Steve Bruce’s replacement.

Newcastle is already working on rebuilding the club. Currently, in relegation spots, the new owners could bring a new identity to the club, but ‘The Magpies’ must get the results on the pitch.

Despite the new signings that could arrive in January, rumours keep running about who will be the man in charge of the Newcastle project, as the new owners have decided to sack Steve Bruce.

After Gerrard and Lampard rumour, it’s now another former player, Wayne Rooney, who appears as a likely option for the Newcastle job.

According to ‘The Daily Mail’, Derby County’s manager is on the Saudi owners’ target list.

The new board believes the Manchester United legend has the authority to manage a squad that will have many quality players soon.
