The Nigeria senior women's team - Super Falcons - defeated Squad One Football Academy 1-0 to wrap up their preparations for next week's Wafu Women's Cup in Cote d'Ivoire.

Super Falcons zoomed into the final of the Women’s WAFU Cup following a 4-2 penalty shoot-out win against perennial rivals Ghana in their semi-final clash in Abidjan on Thursday.

Thomas Dennerby’s ladies dominated possession in the game but were let down by their poor finishing.

The game went into penalty after both teams failed find the breakthrough in regulation time.

The Super Falcons converted all four kicks, while the Black Queens scored only two.

They will take on hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the competition on Saturday.
