South Africa have called on the fans to come out in their numbers to cheer them to victory Saturday afternoon against the Super Eagles in a “momentous” clash.
Bafana Bafana are second in Group E with eight points from four matches and need points against leaders Nigeria to confirm their qualification for next year’s AFCON.
South Africa stadium managers and the South Africa FA have therefore urged the fans to give Bafana Bafana total support from the 2pm (Nigerian time) Saturday.
Fans will not have to pay for car parking so as to reduce the financial burden on them to watch the game, according to a statement by Stadium Management SA (SMSA).
“Spectators will not have to pay for parking around the stadium and uniformed private security will assist the SAPS to keep cars safe. The free parking has specifically been put in place to reduce the economic restrictions for spectators to attend the match,” the press release announced.
There will also be pre-match musical performance to draw in more fans.
The FNB Stadium, which can take in 90,000 fans, will open at noon (Nigerian time) on match day, with bars and food stalls also open for spectator’s convenience from this time.
