Sergio Aguero’s time at Barcelona has been far from what he would have hoped. The Argentine arrived in the summer and was immediately met by the news that his close-friend Lionel Messi would not continue at the club.
Ahead of the preseason, the striker was faced with a muscular problem that ruled him out for close to two months. Owing to the same, his debut for the garnet-and-blue side was further delayed.
He finally made his debut for the Spanish side as a substitute against Dynamo Kyiv. On his second appearance for the club, he scored a goal coming off the bench against Real Madrid providing fans with some consolation on a desolate night.
However, his return to football was short-lived, as he was forced to return from the field against Alaves after feeling discomfort in his chest. Medical tests carried out later revealed that he suffered cardiac arrhythmia and would be out for two months.
According to the reliable Catalunya Radio, there is a bigger blow for the Argentine striker. His heart exams show negative reports and rumours say that Kun could be forced to retire from football.
The former Manchester City player was said to be optimistic about a return to football despite the unfortunate event. However, he was recently informed that his condition is more serious than initially expected.
Aguero’s football career is in serious danger, but all hope is not lost. The evaluation of his condition will continue over the next few months, based on which a decision will be taken.
