Samuel Kalu has been named in Girondis Bordeaux’s squad for Friday’s (today) French Ligue 1 away clash against Stade Rennes.
Kalu has been sidelined since picking up an injury in Nigeria’s friendly against African champions Algeria in October.
The winger was on Thursday named in Bordeaux’s 22-man provisional squad for the game against Rennes by manager Jean-Louis Gasset.
The 23-year-old last featured for Bordeaux in the 3-0 home win against Dijon last month, where he scored one of the goals.
Kalu’s international teammate, Josh Maja, was also included in the travelling party.
Bordeaux currently occupy 12th position on the Ligue 1 table with 12 points from 10 matches.
