Roma boss Jose Mourinho is one of the candidates on Newcastle United’s shortlist of manager options under the new ownership.
This comes from Il Messaggero, who claim that everyone at Roma is ‘crazy’ about the Portuguese and the Magpies want to go crazy for the ex-Manchester United manager too.
He is one of the names on the shortlist of the PIF to replace Steve Bruce. The report though, claims that Mourinho is tied to Roma for three years and the Giallorossi’s progress is the only thing that he has in mind currently.
The Portuguese’s relationship with the Friedkins is still very sound and the former Chelsea boss is on good terms with the American owners. But as things stand, PIF sees Mourinho as an efficient way of using football to clean their global image.
