Real Madrid set asking price as Jurgen Klopp targets Isco

Jurgen Klopp is eager to add Real Madrid ace Isco to his Liverpool squad.

Kop boss Klopp believes Isco would provide a creative spark and a different option to his midfield options, according to El Desmarque.

The Spain international has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for a number of months amid a mixed first half to the campaign.

He has managed just 10 starts in all competitions since the start of the season prompting speculation he could be on the move in this transfer window.

Despite Isco’s diminishing status, Real Madrid are set to demand a big fee for his services.

El Desmarque claim Los Blancos bigwig Florentino Perez does not plan to sell for less than €70m (£59m).

An offer worth €56m (£47.3m) from an unnamed club has already reportedly been rejected.

Isco has returned to form in recent weeks, with a goalscoring display in the 3-1 win over Valencia in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.

Speaking after the match, Zinedine Zidane insisted he “had no role” in the playmaker’s improved displays.

Japan international Takumi Minamino joined from Red Bull Salzburg after Anfield chiefs triggered his £7.25m release clause.

The Premier League leaders also added to their Under-23 squad by capturing Joe Hardy from Brentford.
