Newcastle United are believed to be considering a loan move for Inter Milan wing-back Valentino Lazaro, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.

Steve Bruce is looking to add to his squad ahead of the club’s fight against relegation during the second half of the season.

Lazaro, who can also play further forward, has struggled to get into Antonio Conte’s team following his arrival from Hertha BSC in the summer.

Speaking on Friday, Bruce didn’t dismiss a move for the 23-year-old.

“It would be wrong to talk about individuals,” said the Newcastle boss.

“We have been linked with about 58 players. He’s the latest one. I don’t want to comment on that just yet.”

The Austrian, who can also play right-back, has made just 11 appearances in all competitions for Nerazzurri this season.

West Ham United are also reported to be interested in a move for Lazaro.
