8. Nigerian football great Mutiu Adepoju has called on supporters to maintain faith in the Super Eagles despite their appalling performance against Sierra Leone.

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is expected back in Naples in the coming days after he was ruled out Tuesday’s AFCON tie against Sierra Leone in Freetown.

It was a huge sigh of relief for Napoli chiefs after words filtered in that their prized assets, Victor Osimhen won’t be going under knives ahead of next Serie A fixtures against AC Milan.

Calciomercato reported on Saturday evening that it was a feeling of apprehension at Napoli on Friday after Osimhen was forced to leave the pitch in the 74th minute due to an injury after scoring one of the goals against Sierra Leone in Benin City.

But manager Genarro Gattuso and De Laurentiis were relieved after an X-ray gave a negative result, which revealed that the injury is nothing but a light blunt trauma to the arm.

Osimhen The club now wants their star striker to return to Naples in the coming days to enable the club doctor to ascertain the level of his injury to enable him prepared adequately well for Napoli’s upcoming clash against AC Milan.

Nigerians were left stunned after the national team, Super Eagles drew 4-4 with Sierra Leone despite taking a comfortable 4-0 lead.
