‘RMC Sport’ reports that Leo Messi and Mauricio Pochettino have resolved the misunderstanding from last Sunday when the Argentine seemed to be far from impressed at being substituted.

Messi has met with Pochettino to put the controversy of last Sunday to bed. The Argentinian player seemed perplexed at being substituted with the score at 1-1 against Lyon.

According to ‘RMC Sport’, the two have sorted out an issue which was nothing more than a puzzled expression as he did not understand the coach’s decision. Pochettino did not want to risk Messi with his left knee injury.

PSG’s fixture schedule is quite demanding. This Wednesday they face Metz in another Ligue 1 match and then they play Montpellier on Saturday. Following that, they host Man City in a Champions League game at the Parc des Princes.

For Pochettino, the aim is for Messi to be 100% for the Champions League so that is why are preferring not to risk the player.

Achraf came in in his place and the Parisians ended up beating Lyon at the death. The controversy involving the two, who have a good relationship, has been put to bed. Messi will miss Wednesday’s game with Metz because of injury.
