Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo has praised the Super Eagles’ team for their great efforts in securing a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
The Super Eagles laboured to a 1-1 draw against South Africa in their matchday-5 of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers on Saturday which earned them a place in the final tournament billed for Cameroon next summer.
“We made it.. thanks to a fighting team.. great work from the officials and backroom staff… qualified….2019 Nations Cup,” Omeruo who played all 90 minutes in the encounter wrote on his Instagram page.
He also admits that the team missed Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in encounter.
Ndidi missed the game due to suspension.
“Ndidi we missed you oh,” Omeruo wrote in reaction to Ndidi’s reply on his Instagram page on Saturday.
