Newly crowned 2018 NPFL League Bloggers player of the year, Junior Lokosa, says the latest recognition will motivate him to work harder, As people will expect something big from him in the nearest future.
Lokosa stars in the Nigeria professional football league last season, scoring 19 goals for Kano Pillars before the league was aborted with fourteen matches remaining.
The Lagos state born striker, who made his debut for the Super Eagles in a pre-world cup warm-up game against Democratic Republic of Congo in Port Harcourt said in an exclusive interview with brila.net’s Oluwaseyi Alao that the recognition will bring a lot of attention upon him next season.
“I’m very happy with the award, I never expected it, but it’s all good. The award will motivate me to work harder because all eyes will be on me next season, so this the time for work not to relax.”
The forward has been linked with a potential move to Chinese second division but he was not ready to give anything away on the move but certainly not sure if he will remain with the Sai Masu Gida next season.
“I can’t tell you anything on now until a final decision is made but I’m not sure if I will be a Kano Pillars player come next season. He added.
Lokosa made history last season as he was the first player to score fourteen goals from the first nineteen matches in the Nigeria professional football league and was the first player to be named League Bloggers player of month back to back.
