Adamawa State Governor Mohammed Umar Jibrilla Bindow has joined millions of football-loving Nigerians to felicitate with and commend the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations in Cameroon.
The governor, said the boys were able to put up a scintillating performance against an equally high-spirited opponents, Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
In a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the governor, Macauley Hunohashi, the governor noted that, “even though the Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw in Johannesburg on Saturday, “Ï am ecstatic with their level of performance, commitment to duty, doggedness and patriotic zeal. And these are the kind of attributes that places a nation on a higher development pedestal”, he said.
He emphasised that the victory by the 3-time African Champions is for President Muhammadu Buhari and football-loving fans of Nigeria.
Sen Jibrilla further commended the technical crew, executive members and staff of NFF, major stakeholders, football fans and the media for their various roles in ensuring the well-deserved victory.
He, however, expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will not be going to the continental showpiece in 2019 just make up the number but to make impressive impact for Nigerians.
