Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has been left out of tomorrow’s all-important CAF Confederation Cup semifinal second leg match at Raja Casablanca of Morocco.

A sensational transfer by Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa to ambitious Katsina United has crashed after he demanded to be paid 700,000 Naira a month.

A source close to the Eagles shot stopper revealed Ezenwa was recently in Katsina to discuss the move with top club officials.

The goalkeeper is again a free agent following the end of his year’s deal at Enyimba.

“Katsina United could not afford to pay him 700,000 Naira a month as salary,” a source close to Ezenwa said.

“They say that is almost twice what their highest earners get.”

‘The Changi Boys’, who are set for their third straight season in the NPFL, are now believed to have shifted their attention to signing Niger Republic No 1 goalkeeper Kassaly Daouda.

Daouda has already arrived Katsina for a routine medical.
