Henry Onyekuru and Bonaventure Dennis will now play in the UEFA Europa League after their respective teams finished third in their Champions League first round groups.
Onyekuru was a second-half substitute Tuesday night when Turkish champions Galatasaray lost 3-2 at home to FC Porto in a final Group D match.
Galatasaray still finished third in the group ahead of Bryan Idowu’s Lokomotiv Moscow, who lost 1-0 at Schalke 04.
Belgian champions Club Brugge, who have Nigerian forward Bonaventure Dennis, will also play in the Europa League after they finished third in their Champions League group.
They recorded six points from as many matches after Tuesday’s goalless draw at home with Atletico Madrid to beat bottom club Monaco to the Europa League spot.
