Following his incredible rise in the round leather game, Super Eagles youngster Samuel Chukwueze has continued to enjoy great reviews from foreign media.
Chukwueze who almost joined English premier league side Arsenal in 2016 after winning the Under 17 World Cup with Nigeria a year before has scored twice in six games this season, including his first La Liga goal for Villarreal last weekend against Rayo Vallecano.
The 19-year-old was invited to the Super Eagles for the first time for the 2019 AFCON qualifier against South Africa and could make is debuts if everything goes according to plan.
However, young winger was the topic of discussion in the ‘BBC Football Daily Euro Leagues‘ where panel will select a promising ‘wunderkind’ to focus on.
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, likened the Nigerian to Bayern Munich’s former Real Madrid and Chelsea winger Arjen Robben and said the teenager is exciting to watch.
“He has just been called up into the senior Nigeria national team and has previously won the Under-17 World Cup with them in 2015.
“Only 19 and at La Liga side Villarreal, Chukwueze is an attacking midfielder who can play in both wide areas and his dribbling ability is unbelievable.
“He has already scored in the league and cup and you have a player who is new and exciting to watch.” Guillem told BBC.
