The minister of sports and youth development, Sunday Dare, on Thursday said Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr’s continued stay at the helm of affairs will be decided next week.
The minister made this disclosure during a ministerial press briefing hosted by the presidential media team at the presidential palace in Abuja.
Dare was asked if the national team coach had been fired or if he had been asked to resign, following rumours he had been sacked.
He said his ministry is ready to follow the due process in cases involving national football players and technical staff on Thursday.
While he could not say much about the situation, he promised that the NFF report will be completed next week and that the ministry would respond in accordance with the information provided.
The minister went on to say all has been put in place to ensure the Super Eagles qualify for Qatar 2022.
