Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers ‘would jump’ at the opportunity to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.
This is the belief of former Chelsea and Aston Villa star, Tony Cascarino, with the Man United boss under increasing pressure following a series poor results.
Rodgers has tipped as the favourite among many others, including former Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane, to take over at Old Trafford.
The Northern Ireland gaffer has had a successful stint at Leicester City, guiding them to a back to back fifth-place finish and an FA Cup win since he took over in 2019.
And the former Republic of Ireland International, Cascarino believes that despite Rodgers fantastic work with the Foxes, the former Celtic boss cannot resist the chance to join Manchester United.
“I know Brendan would jump at the job,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“I say, ‘I know’ – Brendan, if he was listening, would probably say, ‘How would you know?’
“But only because of his track record of taking on a job when it’s offered to you.”
He noted that Leicester City are not at the same level with Manchester United despite them being an incredible football club and doing brilliant things.
“The attraction of Manchester United is way superior for any manager. That opportunity is a once in a lifetime for Brendan. Brendan, I think, would jump here.”
