Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is in line to make his official debut for Belgian KRC Genk against Zulte Waregem this weekend.

Dessers joined the former Belgian champions back in June after impressive with Dutch Eredivisie side Heracles, where he scored 15 goals last season.

The 25-year-old forward has been named in Genk matchday squad for the first game of the 2020-2021 campaign against Zulte Waregem.

Dessers has hit the back of the net three times for Genk in the pre-season and he’s expected to carry the good form into the new season.

Dessers will compete for starting belt against another Super Eagles attacker, Paul Onuachu, who beat coronavirus to be ready for the game.

Meanwhile, the third Nigerian team on Genk’s payroll Stephen Odey was not included in the squad for the game.
