Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze set for comeback

Eberechi Eze was on target for Crystal Palace in their Premier League win over Sheffield United at the Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Crystal Palace midfielder, Eberechi Eze, makes his long-awaited return to action for the Under-23s.

The midfielder suffered a serious Achilles injury in the final week of last season but has returned ahead of schedule.

Eze will play for the club’s academy side when they host Blackburn Rovers at 1 pm this afternoon, says the London Evening Standard.

It had initially been feared that Eze’s injury would keep him out until the new year, but the former Queens Park Rangers man has exceeded expectations when it comes to his recovery and is relishing a return.

Palace continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 win at Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.
