Kabiru Baleria

Coach Kabiru Baleria has said Kano Pillars are gradually taking shape ahead of the new season after the huge disappointment of losing the Aiteo Cup final to Enugu Rangers.

Kano Pillars smashed past FC Yarmalight 5-0 in their second game at the on-going Ahlan pre-season tournament in Kano after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Delta Force in their opening game.

“It was a great day for me. I am thankful to God as this was an exciting game because my players played according to instructions,” he said.

“It’s the beginning of a new dawn for Kano Pillars as the team can only improve and do more.”

The former Nigeria U17 assistant coach changed personnel and tactics to sweep aside FC Yarmalight and stay on course to retain the Ahlan Cup.
