Chelsea want to change Mason Mount’s contract at the club. The English side hope to make him one of the best-paid players at the club with a salary as high as Kai Havertz’s. They are now working on his new contract at Stamford Bridge.

At Chelsea, they are working hard to try and complete Mason Mount’s renewal as soon as possible. That is his reward for his good performances and they want to keep Mount at the club.

According to ‘Goal’, Chelsea are willing to considerably increase Mount’s salary to make sure the 22-year-old English midfielder does not leave the club prematurely.

At this moment in time, Mount is one of the worse paid players in the squad. He gets 4.5 million euros a year, according to the cited media outlet. Chelsea will increase his salary so that he gets as much money as Kai Havertz, one of the best-paid players in the squad.

That said, ‘Goal’ also reports that the club are more interested in renewing Rudiger and Christensen first as Real Madrid and PSG are both after the former. They will leave for nothing if the club do not renew them.
