Lobi Stars face a difficult task to qualify for the group stage of the 2019 CAF Champions League after they fell 3-1 at Gor Mahia of Kenya today.

Nigeria’s Lobi Stars lost the first leg of the competition’s second preliminary game by 3-1 to Gor Mahia of Kenya at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi, Kenya on Sunday.

The Pride of Benue are now in tight corner to reach the money spinning group stage of the Africa‘s biggest Club football competition.

Jacques Tuyisenge put the hosts in front with just seven minute intobefore Samuel Onyango made two in the 13th minutes.

Samad Kadiri reduced the deficit for the visitors in the 29th minute, but shortly after half hour mark Onyango got his second of the day to put the game to bed.

Lobi has a mountain to climb as they must score twice and avoid conceding in the reverse fixture scheduled for next Sunday in Nigeria.
