Gor Mahia’s boss Hassan Oktay is optimistic his side will get a good result against Nigeria champions Lobi Stars as both sides meet in the leg of the CAF Champions league second preliminary round on Sunday.
The Kenya Premier League side will be playing the first leg in front of their home crowd come Sunday and a comprehensive victory is needed before the return leg in Nigeria a week later.
However, Head Coach of the side believes home support is vital if his side are to get a desirable result against the Nigerian champions.
“It’s very important for us and for them as well, because we have home advantage on Sunday and we are going to focus on that game with the technical bench, I believe we are going to get a good result from there,” he said.
Victory for any of the sides will see them competing in the money-spinning group stage of the CAF biggest elite football club competition.
