Mario Balotelli could leave Brescia in the January transfer window after a turbulent six-month spell, according to club president Massimo Cellino.

Brescia President, Massimo Cellino, has revealed that he’s disappointed in Mario Balotelli following his recent commitment towards the team.

The Serie A club president revealed the former AC Milan and Inter Milan forward no longer has his mind with the club and is destined to leave.

Brescia is on the brink of relegation to the Serie B, a season after their promotion, and Balotelli is free to walk away as a free agent as his contract allows him to do so.

“I try to avoid legal action and the Balotelli case was blown out of proportion because there’s no football and little else to talk about,” said the patron. President Cellino told TeleLombardia programme Qui Studio a Voi Stadio this evening.

“He’s a strange lad, he no longer has his mind with us and I am taking his departure for granted. It’s not necessarily different to what he’s always done in his career, he’s just a bit anarchic.”

“His contract is automatically annulled in case of relegation into Serie B, so with all probability he’ll be a free agent next season, considering our status,” continued Cellino.

Balotelli joined the club last summer on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Olympique Marseille.

Balotelli has contributed five goals in 19 games since joining his hometown club.
