Brendan Rodgers ‘house-hunting in Cheshire’ as he becomes top target for Manchester United job

Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, has said he was satisfied with the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers is looking for a new house in Chesire with Manchester United making him their top target, according to reports.

The Leicester boss continues to impress with his work at the King Power and is firmly in the frame to take over at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is coming under increasing pressure following a poor start to the campaign.

The Norwegian is into his third full season and has been afforded time and money in Manchester, but so far hasn’t delivered a trophy.

That drought could well continue with United in a poor run of form, with their latest defeat coming to neighbours Manchester City at Old Trafford.

As a result other managerial options are being considered, with Rodgers very much one of them.

The Northern Irishman is now looking for a property in the highly thought of areas of Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, reports The Sun.

It will further speculation that Rodgers is poised to take over at Old Trafford sooner rather than later.

The 48-year-old has previously been in charge in the northwest having led Liverpool for over three years.

He has also been touted as a potential successor for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

Rodgers has been able to lead Leicester to successive fifth-place finishes as well as the FA Cup during his tenure.

He is operating with a budget that is far less than his rivals and is tipped to take on a top four job in the near future.

Leicester are among the teams to topple United recently, winning 4-2 at the King Power, whilst Liverpool and Aston Villa have also beaten Solskjaer’s men.

Despite that the Norwegian does not believe he is on borrowed time.

“No, I don’t start to feel like that,” he said after the City loss. “I have good communication all the time with the club that’s very up-front and honest about the situation.”
