Dutch forward Memphis Depay has denied rumours linking him with a move away from Lyon to Barcelona this summer.

LaLiga giants Barcelona have agreed a transfer for Olympic Lyon forward Memphis Depay.

According to Dutch paper De Telegraaf, Barca have had an offer of €25m plus €5m in add-ons accepted by Ligue 1 side Lyon.

Depay could be unveiled this week which will make him Ronald Koeman’s first signing.

It’s understood that Koeman specifically asked for Memphis, 26, to be recruited after working with him for the national side.

Koeman is looking for a successor for Luis Suarez with the Uruguayan looking likely to leave for Juventus.

There has been a hold in the deal though with reports suggesting he won’t move unless Barca pay the final year of his contract at the Camp Nou.

Memphis is believed to be very excited about the opportunity to join compatriot Frenkie de Jong and playing for Koeman in LaLiga.

The attacker joined current club Lyon from United back in 2017 after a tough 18 months at Old Trafford.
