Diego Godín is to become the highest paid player at Inter if he joins the Italian club as expected in the summer.
The Uruguayan’s contract with Atlético Madrid expires at the end of the season and he is set to move to San Siro.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Godín’s Inter contract will see him earn €6.75m-per-season.
The deal will make him the highest paid player at the club and is worth 35% more than his current Atlético contract, Football Italia report.
Godín’s Inter contract will run to 2022, when the defender turns 36.
