FC Barcelona women head coach Lluis Cortes has praised Asisat Oshoala decision to join the Club and is optimistic that the Super Falcons star will help the team achieve success this season.
The former African Women Footballer Queen trained twice with the Blaugranes last week having joined on a six-month loan for Chinese outfit Dalian Quanjian.
The former Liverpool and Arsenal striker missed Sunday’s clash with Albacete at the Mini Estadi, with Lluís Cortés who replaced Fran Sánchez as head coach of the team after the latter’s contract was terminated on Tuesday revealing that Oshoala is not in 100% condition to start a game.
“Asisat [Oshoala] has arrived in a good physical condition,” Cortes told media.
“With the trip and the changes maybe right now is not ready to play, but I think that from next week can start to bring us very good things to the team.”
Having been omitted from the Albacete’s game, the Nigerian superstar will now be hoping to make her debut away to Rayo Vallecano on February 10.
