Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly edging closer to joining Atlético Madrid this summer.
Torreira has been deemed surplus to requirements by first team manager Mikel Arteta, despite initially impressing after joining from Sampdoria in 2018.
According to AS, the 24-year-old wants to join Atlético after speaking with Diego Simeone and has already agreed personal terms with the club.
But final negotiations remain at an impasse with Arsenal wanting a permanent deal, while Atlético would prefer a loan with option to buy.
The North London club are also interested in Atlético midfielder Thomas Partey, although the LaLiga club insist he will only leave if his €50m release clause is matched.
Sokratis and Sead Kolašinac are also expected to leave Emirates Stadium before the transfer deadline on October 6.
