Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti believes Alex Iwobi needs more confidence to play in the wingback position for Everton.

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has likened playing under Carlo Ancelotti at Everton to his former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger.

The Nigerian started off his career with the Gunners and was promoted to the first team in 2015 by the French manager.

He was later sold to English Premiership side, Everton in the summer of 2019 but reckons that he’s lucky to have played under both managers in his career.

“The way they trust their tactics is one of a kind, it’s almost like playing for the same manager,” Iwobi told TalkSport.

“They both want the best out of their players, they give an opportunity to each and every player and the youngsters in cup games and use the whole squad and everyone is involved.

“It’s almost like playing under the same manager and the accomplishments speak for themselves what they’ve been able to achieve.

“I’m lucky to play under both managers,” Iwobi added.
