Ajax have completed the signing of striker Sébastien Haller from West Ham United for a fee reported to be worth around €25m.
The fee is an Ajax record and the most any Eredivisie club has spent on a player.
Hallerhas signed a four-and-a-half-year deal to join the Dutch league leaders.
The Hammers have made a loss of around half of what they paid Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019, when they paid the Bundesliga side £45m for the Ivory Coast international.
It hasn’t been the most successful of moves for the 26-year-old striker, with just 10 goals in his 48 appearances for the club, although he did recently net a goal of the season contender with an overhead kick against Crystal Palace.
Haller is expected to be available for selection on Sunday when Ajax host second-placed PSV.
