1. Nigerian football great Mutiu Adepoju has called on supporters to maintain faith in the Super Eagles despite their appalling performance against Sierra Leone.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa admitted the players made huge mistakes against Sierra Leone and has vowed to secure a win in the second leg.

The Super Eagles were coasting to the three points after going four goals ahead against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

A shambolic second-half performance saw the visitors come back from the dead and snatched a point after scoring four goals.

In a video posted on Super Eagles’ social media handle, a disappointing Musa said the team huge mistakes and was punished.

He vowed that they will go all out for a win in the reversed fixtures in Freetown on Tuesday.

“We made costly mistakes, that’s football and there is nothing we can do. So we sincerely apologize, and we promise we will fix things and get a win in Sierra Leone, which we can do” .he said.

Musa started the game but was replaced later in the second half.
