Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti says Ivan Perisic “is determined to remain” at the club amid renewed speculation linking him with Manchester United.
United had been keen to bring the Croatia international to Old Trafford this summer but no deal was made.
However, recent reports have suggested that United were set to resume talks with Inter for the 28-year-old this week but Spalletti says Perisic is keen to stay at the club.
“He is determined to remain, he has spoken as a footballer who wants to do well based on his professionalism,” he said after Inter’s 1-0 friendly win over Real Betis.
A fee had been a sticking point in protracted negotiations between the clubs, with it understood that Inter were holding out for £48m.
The former Borussia Dortmund winger joined Inter in 2015 and made 42 appearances last season, scoring 11 goals.
