NBBF to name provisional D’Tigers list for Afrobasket defence soon

The Nigeria Basketball Federation has assured that the list of D’Tigers’ players to be invited for the 2017 Afrobasket title defense will be released soon ahead of the tournament to be co-hosted by Tunisia and Senegal between 8th and 16th of September, 2017

The Vice President of the federation, Babs Oguande, said on Sunday that the Technical

Committee of the federation is working round the clock to compile names of players who will be invited to camp ahead of the tournament.

Oguade assured that the list will be officially made public through all the official channels of the NBBF as soon as arrangements have been finalized for the camping exercise.

“We are working on the men’s team. The list will not be ready for announcement on Monday, 07 August 2017 as expected.

“We will call for camping very soon and once that is done, we will officially inform you .”

DTigers who won the trophy in 2015 will play their group games in Tunisia and are drawn in group B of the tournament alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali and Côte d’Ivoire.
