NBBF chief Engr. Musa Kida has charged reigning Nigeria Women Basketball Champion Elephants to pick a semi final at the expense of Cameroonian side Army Force and Police Basketball team at the ongoing FIBA AWCC.
The Elephants women are currently unbeaten at the competition, winning all their four Group B games to finished on top of the group.
Kida, however urged the team not to rest on their oars, as big tasklies ahead.
“I have closely monitored their four group games and I am impressed with what I have seen so far. The depth of the team is amazing and I can only hope that they continue their winning streak when they face FAP on Friday.”
The Basketball boss also expressed his satisfaction that members of Nigeria Women Basketball National team are proving their worth in the team.
“As a federation, we take pride in the fact that 5 members of the D’Tigress history making team to the World Cup are currently on the rooster of First Bank which has already impacted on their journey so far.”
FAP are the underdog going into the Friday match as they managed just 1 win in group A to end up in the fourth spot.
