Taraba: APC congress postponed over security concerns

The All Progressives Congress (APC)’s State Congress in Adamawa State scheduled for Saturday, October 16, has been postponed.

The chairman caretaker committee of the party, Barrister Ibrahim El-Sudi, told Daily Trust in an interview that the Congress was postponed because of insecurity.

He said there was a threat to peace as some contestants have smuggled in thugs to disrupt the exercise.

El-Sudi stated that the committee sent in by the National Secretariat of APC to conduct the congress have invited all stakeholders to a meeting in Abuja where a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Congress in a new date to be announced very soon.
