Yobe State Students’ leaders, on Wednesday, met in Damaturu to register their endorsements of Haruna Adamu Sardauna as the state’s APC Youth Leader aspirant for the forthcoming state congresses.

“We are here to support one of us to represent us in the politics of the state; to represent youths and students of the state. This is an opportunity for us to have a strong pillar in the state’s politics”, said Comr. Usman Adamu Nagwaza, National Deputy Senate President, (NANS).

“With the support of students, former and serving union leaders, we hereby endorse Comrade Haruna Adamu Sardauna for youth leadership in the APC,” said Comr. Suleiman Gambo Bakoro, Chairman, Stakeholders Forum.

“We know him for his accountability and reliability. We know him as a leader. So we endorse him and assure him of our unflinching support to the advantage of youths”, said Farida Ilyasu, National Vice-president, Northeast (NAUS).

“We have gathered here to endorse one of our brothers, who is a colleague and political struggler. So, considering his versatile experience commitment, objectivity and sincerity, we officially endorse him once and for all.

We also hope that Government and APC will consider our request and mandate, as students dominate a large portion of youths in the state”, said Comr. Usman Wali, President (SUG).

On his part, the aspirant, Haruna Adamu Sardauna who was also a students’ union leader and currently serving as Senior Special Assistant on photography to Governor Mai Mala Buni, expressed appreciation for the support he had received from his colleagues and other young Yobeans, commending Governor Buni for exhibiting youth-friendly leadership and giving priority to education alongside other sectors.

He assured youths in the state of a purposeful representation that would focus solely on the interest of youths.

“Our concern is to protect the interest of our fellow youths at the ward, local government, state and national levels. I therefore assure you of working objectively to protect your interests.”

“I thank everyone immensely for your support which shows that youths, particularly students, accredit the present administration in the state”.
