Alhaji Yaro Makama Rigachikun, former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna, has been arrested.
Yaro Makama was arrested a day after the Deputy Director General, Media and Publicity of Ashiru/Katung Campaign Organisation, Danjuma Sarki, disclosed that many chieftains of the party would be arrested in Kaduna.
Unlike Ben Bako whose arrest was said to be from Abuja, Rigachikun, whereabouts, although he was arrested in Kaduna, were unknown by his party members.
Danjuma Sarki, confirmed to newsmen on Monday afternoon that he was reportedly invited to police headquarters in the state and was subsequently arrested.
Aberah Catoh, Spokesperson of the PDP in Kaduna, who also confirmed the development, said the reason for the arrest was still sketchy.
Sources said his arrest might not be unconnected to campaign statements which might have been perceived to be hate speech.
