Nigeria needs a President that is hale, hearty – Fayose

Chairman of the Governors Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ayodele Fayose, of Ekiti State, Monday, lamented the deplorable state of governance in the country under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying, Nigeria needs a leadership and President that is hale send hearty not a Minister of Foreign Affairs in London.

‎Fayose made this remark during the party’s zonal meeting held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where many dignitaries led by the South West National Vice Chairman, Eddy Oyefeso, were in attendance.

Among the party stalwarts which included members from other political parties like Accord represented by Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Labour Party represented by Chief Sarafadeen Alli, Social Democratic Party represented by Elder Wole Oyelese, were the former South West Deputy National Chairman, Chief Bode George, ex-Ogun State governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Chairman of the party in the South West Chief, Oladipo, Senator Iyiola Omisore, ex-Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Senator Hosea Agboola, Dr. Saka Balogun, Chief Sarafadeen Alli, Chief Sunday Ogunlade, among others.

Fayose, who had earlier warned that the party should be wary of black legs infiltrating the meeting from the Ali Modu Sheriff group, said that it was high time the party got its acts together and consolidate it in order to leave the opposition position and return to government in 2019.
